It is both.

"Bed" refers to a sitting position - in the ass forward with the legs.

"Stationary" refers to the fact that the bike is going nowhere.

Thus, there are recumbent bikes and road bikes. It is a road bike and bike straight up.

It appears that you have a recumbent bike. The wheel "is not a problem.

As Scott said in his last answer, a "lie" with the bike on the street, but not the ordinary bike. A recumbent bike is that almost lying on his back and you are definitely a few inches of soil. (They're much faster than regular bikes, because the factor of air resistance.)
A "fixed" bike, but is only a bicycle (which does not move which means "stable", remember?). It is used for training, instead of quitting the race. It could be your ordinary bicycle is supported by some kind of device, or mounted on wheels, can also be a bicycle or similar device used in the gym, etc., by bike for training.

I searched, but the Edge 280 is a bicycle leaning against Wal-Mart sells, among others. If your referral to a trainer, I think you are talking about a bicycle with a bicycle handlebar and a normal appearance of the bicycle saddle. The big difference is that it is the weight on your hands and buttocks during workouts with lies about the fixes usually do not .....
