Xanax sexual side effects can be permanent, or other irreversible side effects? In other words, the side effects that persist after discontinuation? I say this because I take a dose of 2 mg twice daily. I am 21, male.

Hello, I'm on Xanax for a number of years for panic disorders. From a female perspective, I have never sexual problems from this drug. I have never lead to the fact that impotence in men (either temporarily or permanently), and yet each is different - I think it is better to go to the MD. If you take this medicine for a month or longer, you have very bad withdrawal symptoms for weeks or months what (last) when it suddenly stopped. If you interrupt, it is essential that you are not in small increments over a long period
(a better doctor Schneider) a withdrawal plan for you. I have some reports of withdrawal of benzodiazepines brain in people who have taken over a long period of time - but I do not know how valid are these "reports" or "studies". I think I would be a fool now. In addition, all medications that have taken affect, especially when over a long period, the potential for liver or kidney function.
I always took my Xanax sublinglually (melted) under the tongue. I found him to be more effective in this way - albeit a bitter taste.

This is not a scientific perspective, but my husband took the tablet, and soon the same can also not have sex. He made a choice to keep his job or having sex with, he chose the former.
